                                                                     1954       The grandstand was filled with 4,000 people to see Jimmy Campbell ace out
                                                                                                    Hall of Fame driver, Bob Slater, for the win.
                                                                                                    On the local scene, the NAE was still operating the track and Don Koivisto
                                                                                                    won the points championship. He also won the Grand Rapids championship.
                                                                                                    The Rapids track had just opened for “Stock Car” racing.
                                                                    1955        6,000 fans packed the stands for the IMCA “Big Car” race at the fair.
                                                                                                   Bobby Grim battled fellow Hall of Fame drivers; Pete Folse and 
                                                                                                   Jud Larson for the feature win.


                                                                                                   George Koski won the NAE points championship. Harry Minzghor
                                                                                                    is now the track’s manager. Winning a “Powder Puff” race was
                                                                                                    Lulubelle Carlson, wife of driver, PeeWee Carlson.
